Teeth and jaw bone deformities need to be treated early. The recommended age for the child’s first Orthodontic consultation is 6 years. Early treatment protocols helps correcting the problems quickly with simple appliances and prevents the problems from worsening, after which complicated procedures and longer treatment would be needed.
Children who has finished growth,and has jaw bone deformities, will need Pre Surgical Orthodontics (treatment with braces to prepare them for the surgery), then Orthognathic jaw surgery, followed up by Post Surgical Orthodontics ( to settle the teeth in the new position to be able to chew well).

Fixed Prosthodontics is concerned with the restoration of teeth with crowns, bridges, inlays, onlays or veneers. Implantology : In Implantology replacement of missing teeth may be done by taking anchorage from artificial screw like prosthesis anchored to the jaw bone. Implants may be used to replace single or multiple missing teeth depending on the clinical condition of the patient.
Maxillofacial Prosthodontics deals with prosthetically replacing missing oral or facial parts which may be congenital or acquired. The oral prosthesis includes obturators speech bulb prosthesis, palatal lifts, palatal augmentation prosthesis etc and the facial prosthesis includes eye, ear, nose, facial and other body parts like fingers and hand.Finger prosthetic cases are successfully done at the dental department in conjunction with our Hand and Microsurgery Department.
We give utmost importance, care and management for children of all age groups.Procedures like extractions, restorations, pulpotomy, pulpectomy, Crowns, Habit breaking appliances (for thumb sucking, mouth breathing etc) are done here.
For uncooperative children and for those with disabilities the above procedures are done under general anaesthesia with in patient facilities.
